Python slithers on windscreen as car drives on Malaysian highway
This is the terrifying moment a python slithered on the windscreen of a car driving on a highway in Malaysia.
The large snake appeared on the glass barrier as influencer Cikgu Anep and his friend were travelling through Kuala Lumpur on October 30.
Footage shows the snake making its way to the roof of the car as the locals looked for a safe place to pull over.
They later reached the Cyberjaya fire station, where officers pulled the serpent off their vehicle.
The filmer said: 'Even though I was very nervous, I tried to stay calm. The python seemed to be trying to escape but it failed because the car was moving.'
The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
