A car travelling on a bridge was suddenly hit by a piece of falling ice on the front windscreen in central China.

The terrifying video was filmed by a passenger Mr. Huang in Huangshi City in Hubei Province on February 7.

After the windshield shattered, the driver quickly slowed down, turned on the hazard lights, pulled over to drive slowly, and exited the highway nearby.

According to Huang, fortunately, the speed was not fast at that time, and no one was injured.

However, because they did not purchase comprehensive insurance, they had to spend 1,700 yuan (£190) out of pocket to replace the windscreen.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
