A brave crowd united to save a man dangled mid-air by a hot balloon rope in eastern China.

The video was filmed in the city of Liuan in Anhui Province on January 6.

A man found himself dangling upside down as a hot air balloon's rope ensnared his foot. Onlookers rushed to his aid, frantically trying to grab the rope as the man hung perilously. Witnesses reported shouts of panic as the man's foot was entangled.

Fortunately, quick action from the crowd ensured the man's safe rescue, and he emerged unharmed after the ordeal.

According to Ms Wu, an eyewitness, around 6:30 pm that evening, she and her friends were strolling near a plaza when they noticed a young man entangled in the rope of a hot air balloon.

As the balloon ascended, it lifted the man about a metre off the ground. Bystanders swiftly ran to assist, managing to bring the man down in a matter of seconds.

Wu mentioned that the man was physically unharmed. The hot air balloon had no passengers at the time, only the staff member responsible for its operation, who was the one unintentionally lifted into the air.

On the morning of the 7th, a staff member from the Shanshui City Outlets sales office explained that the hot air balloon rides were complimentary and aimed at potential homebuyers. The incident resulted from an operational error by the staff, causing the balloon to lift unexpectedly.

The hot air balloon, equipped with safety measures, didn't reach a dangerous height, and the staff member was unharmed after being rescued.

目击者吴女士介绍，当晚6时30分许，她和朋友逛街路过一处广场时，看到地上一名年轻男子的脚被热气球绳子缠住，热气球往上升，该男子也被拽了起来，有一米多高。附近的人赶紧跑过来帮忙拉绳子，大约七八秒就把人救了下来。吴女士说，该男子身体没事，当时，热气球上没有乘客，只有这名被拽起的负责热气球的工作人员。
7日上午，山水城奥特莱斯售楼部一工作人员介绍，热气球是免费乘坐的，主要面向有购房意愿的客户，当时工作人员操作失误导致被吊起，热气球有安全措施，不会飞特别高，工作人员被救下后也没有受伤。
