Firefighter climbs into pond to rescue stranded puppies
This is the heartwarming moment a firefighter climbed into a dirty pond to rescue three stranded puppies.
Officer Narongdech Chest was called to save the canines after they had fallen into the water while wandering through woods in Chanthaburi province, Thailand, on February 1.
Footage shows the selfless firefighter fishing the dogs out of the murky green water to reunite them with their worried owner.
Narongdech said: 'I didn't have to do much to rescue the puppies. Once they saw me, they knew to paddle towards me so I could lift them out of the pond.'
The firemen took the pooches back to the fire station where they were cleaned up before being given fresh water and food.
They have now been adopted by Narongdech and a colleague.
