Aerial footage revealed the devastation in villages in southern China after a powerful tornado.

Aftermath footage filmed in the city of Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, on April 28, shows numerous factory roofs in the villages being flipped and torn by the tornado, with the communities almost entirely destroyed and reduced to ruins.

Devastation swept through Zhongluotan Town as a fierce tornado tore through the area at around 3:00 p.m. on April 27. The extreme weather event wreaked havoc across the villages of Guangming, Chendong, Jinpan, and Liangtian, leaving behind a trail of destruction.

By 10:00 p.m. on the same day, search and rescue efforts were largely concluded. Tragically, the disaster claimed five lives and injured 33 individuals, who were promptly taken to hospital for treatment. 141 factories were damaged, though miraculously, no residential homes collapsed.
