A hurricane in Cornwall ?

Buy video

Waves over twenty feet high batter the cliffs at Botallack in West Penwith, Cornwall as an autumnal storm hits. Rolling seas run up the beach at Sennen, flooding up the beach and soaking unwary children and dog walkers. Families turn out at half term to watch the fast moving storm which has hurricane force winds forecast for this evening. At Porthleven the rescue services keep an eye on the pier and beach, where the damaged and decomposed body of a dolphin has been washed up.
Winds and high seas are set to continue for the next week.
