Avalanche! Helmet camera footage of a Grand Motte avalanche
I also have the raw footage on my channel if that is more useful.
On day three of the holiday in Val d'isere in 2014 and Alex's second day as an owner of a GoPro helmet camera we took a guide out on the north face of the Grand Motte and ran into some trouble.
The glacier was sheet ice with about three six inches of new heavy snow on top which went as the three of us skied on to it. Two got caught up but were okay and I managed to ski out of the bottom and then skied out the way.
No-one was hurt, just shocked and the piste patrol got to us within ten minutes.
