A terrifying video has emerged from Shandong, China of the moment the scenery collapsed on top of several children during a school show.

In the clip, which was filmed on May 27, pupils from Xin Miao kindergarten are performing a dance routine when a gust of wind brings the backdrop and other scenery crashing down on top of them.

Five children were taken to hospital as a precaution but all were quickly released and were said to be recovering well at home with nothing more serious than scratches, according to local media.

2017年5月27日上午9点，无棣县鑫淼幼儿园正在举行庆六一演出活动，当演出至第七个节目，大班舞蹈《一年级》时，因突刮旋风，致使幕布被刮倒，将5名幼儿压倒。该幼儿园马上停止演出，迅速将5名幼儿送至无棣县人民医院急诊科，经全身检查，5名幼儿均无大碍，只有王姓小朋友腿上轻微划伤。
　　事件发生后，无棣县教育局有关人员及时与该园负责人取得联系，并到达现场协调处理相关事宜。目前，5名幼儿均在家休养，状态良好。
