Chicago cyclist severely hit by car (Halsted & Roosevelt intersection) July 18th, 2017 at UIC Campus

On Tuesday July 18th a cyclist in Chicago slowly pedals into the intersection of Halsted and Roosevelt, appearing to have breached the intersection on a red light when he's suddently forcibly hit, sending the man over the car's roof and landing several feet away.

Incident occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. (7-18-17) in the 700 block of West Roosevelt Road. The bicyclist, a 32-year-old man was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.

The 22 year old female driver of the car remained on the scene and was not cited by the police.
