A cute video has emerged of a young girl getting so emotional she was unable to talk when her family surprised her with a puppy.

The footage, shot on September 21 in Derby, UK, shows the girl running to Eddy the puppy as she sees it and crying as she holds him in her arms.

"My youngest suffers with autism, ADHD and SPD, all she has ever wanted was a puppy a bit like a friend for her," her mother wrote online.

"For three years she has been asking Santa for one so I made it a surprise wrote a letter from Santa explaining why the puppy had to come early and that he had left him in the living room."

"She was so emotional she couldn't speak to start of with and now he is the best little pup ever," she added.
