Yuncui building collapses in powerful Taiwan quake

A powerful earthquake struck Taiwan again yesterday (February 6), causing Yuncui Building to damage and partially collapse.

The footage shows the building at an angle and on the verge of collapse. Police were evacuating civilians at the scene. Guests are believed trapped inside, according to Taiwan’s Central News Agency.

According to reports, the shallow M6.4 quake struck 21 km (13 miles) north of Hualien, east coast of Taiwan. The quake’s centre, Hualien County, has been constantly pounded since February 4.

So far 2 were confirmed dead and more than 100 have been injured.
