A woman and her husband were in the market in Davao City in the Philippines on February 24 when they spotted a dog owner going out of his way to protect his pooch from the rain.

In the tender scene, the dog owner - named by the filmer as Japanese citizen Fumio Tsunoda, now living in Davao city - carefully puts a straw hat on his dog, Whitey, who is sat in a basket on his bicycle. He also lovingly wraps a plastic bag around his pet's body to keep him dry.

“I felt sorry for the dog due to the rain,” the female witness said. “To my surprise, the old man carried his dog and put it in the basket of his bike. Then I noticed that the old man brought out a plastic bag and used it to cover his dog as a raincoat​.”

“I hope this video will serve as an example to all humans to sincerely love and care for their pets,” the woman added.

It happened last saturday morning 10 a.m feb. 24 2018, me and my husband went to Agdao market in Davao city and I saw an old man with a bike and a dog standing beside him, i was intrigued and my attention was with the Dog. I felt sorry for the dog due to the rain and to my surprise the old man carried his Dog and put the dog on the carrier/basket of his bike. Then I noticed the old man brought out a plastic bag and he used it to cover his dog as a raincoat​ so i was very curious and thats the time and I started recording. wow amazing love and care.
