St Barbara's Church, Elmley Road, Ashton-under-Hill, Worcestershire, UK. 6Th / 7th May 2018. Shooting stars belonging to the Eta Aquarids meteor shower fall to earth in the night sky above St Barbara's Church, located at the eastern foot of Bredon Hill, Worcestershire. The meteors are so called because they appear to radiate outwards from the star Eta Aquarii in the constellation Aquarius and originate from the debris of Halley's Comet. The limestone church, situated in the picturesque village of Ashton-under-Hill, is of Norman origin and includes new building work and restorations from several later periods up to the 20th century. The image was produced by importing 474 separate 25 second exposures taken over a period of 4 hours into a software editing program.
