An Artist's Research: Watch this amazing footage of a squirrel chasing a tawny owl out of a nest. The two species had been silently fighting over this nest box for weeks but here they finally clashed. But the altercation doesn't end the way you would expect it to. The squirrel comes into the box in the day to find that the tawny owl is asleep inside. And this no nonsense creature is having none of it! He literally head butts the owl right out of the box. Then he stands at the entrance and shakes his tale aggressively as if to say: 'And You Can Stay Out!!!'
A very brave squirrel since tawny owls are notoriously aggressive. We can only assume the squirrel caught him half asleep!
