Carr Fire in Redding, CA. July 27, 2018 around 8:25pm
Evacuation form Lake Redding Estates subdivision
Intersection of Bedrock Lane and Harlan Drive

Caught in the Fire Tornado - The start of the tornado. Watch the tree tops. The fire roared to life, cresting the hill and down into the neighborhood in a matter of minutes.

I apologize for the shaky video. The roar you hear isn't from the fire. It was far too hot to have the windows down.
The "wind" is from the had the AC blasting into the mic

My family got out unharmed; Mom, Dad, myself, my 2 1/2 year old daughter, 2 cats and an african grey parrot.

3155 Bedrock Lane - My parent's home, my childhood home, was a total loss. We had no warning and only minutes to grab what we could and flee. My folks lost everything.

Later that night my own home was also threatened, but thank goodness it was spared.
Over 1000 homes have been lost thus far.

IT was like armageddon. Those homes that weren't damaged by fire were hit by the tornado. Trees were uprooted, roofs blown off... it's like a war zone. Well, that's what we can see from news video. We still aren't allowed into the neighborhood.
