Fire Dragon Dance in Hong Kong and a touch of Scotland

During the mid-autumn festival, which falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month,Hong Kong is alight with lanterns and fire dragon dances. This one is called Tai Hang and is described as a ritual of flame and fury. The dragon is 67 metres long and supported by 300 people. Made of hemp rope wrapped in pearl straw punctured with incense sticks, It celebrates the dispelling of an outbreak of plague in the 19th century. Scottish dancing is unlikely to have been involved.
