Spectacular drone footage of 'Chinese Hogwarts' built at art university
Spectacular drone video shows off Hebei Academy of Fine Arts in China, which some say resembles the fictional castle of Hogwarts from the Harry Potter book series.
The clip, shot in northwest China's Shijiazhuang City on November 16 2014, shows the European Gothic architecture of the Academy's animation department, which is officially named Cinderella Castle.
However, overseas media noted that the tall Gothic-style clock towers and spires also resembled the magical castle of Hogwarts.
The principal of the university said the castle did not copy Hogwarts in particular, and was only inspired by European Gothic architecture in general.
He pointed out: "This castle is not the only building at our university. Besides the castle, there is also a Chinese style temple and garden."
According to reports, the building cost around £269 million.
