Norilsk-"Nickel plant"

Buy video

The nickel plant was built in inhuman conditions, it was introduced in record time, and already in 1942 it gave the first thousand tons of nickel for T-34 tanks, therefore the Norilsk citizens rightfully speak of their contribution to the overall victory.
But since then, more than seventy years have passed, production is hopelessly outdated, the technological lag is eerie, the plant is not subject to modernization, its closure is the only reasonable solution!
The Nickel Plant accounted for more than 25% of sulfur dioxide emissions in the city, an average of 75–80 days a year. With the closure of the plant, these emissions will no longer flow into the atmosphere of the city!
Video filmed two years after the closing of the Nickel Plant!
