Thirsty koala drinks from hosepipe amid Australia heatwave
A koala suffering in near 50-degree heat is doused in water and given a drink during an ongoing Australian heatwave yesterday (January 24).
The marsupial, living near Adelaide in south Australia, attempted to escape the searingly hot 47-degree Celsius (116-degree Fahrenheit) temperature by finding humans.
The animal was luckily found by the filmer and friends who used a hosepipe to cool down as well as rehydrate it.
The filmer said: "A poor koala was outside in 47-degree heat, we decided to give it a drink to hopefully saving from a heat stroke."
