Horse racing is set to resume in Britain following a six-day shutdown caused by an outbreak of equine flu.

The sport has been on hold since last Thursday (February 7) after the highly contagious racing’s flu-related virus was identified in six horses at the yard of Grand National-winning trainer Donald McCain in Cheshire.

There are four scheduled race meetings today with Plumpton Racecourse in East Sussex being one of them.
