Israeli forces shot dead one Palestinian and wounded 42 others taking part in weekly protests at the Gaza Strip border, agencies reported, citing the Palestinian health ministry.

In video filmed on March 8, Israeli Defence Forces fire tear gas at Palestinian youths close to the eastern border of the Gaza Strip.

IDF vehicles can be seen pacing up and down the border.

Palestinian youths can also be seen using catapults to throw projectiles.

Health ministry spokesman in Gaza, Ashraf al-Qedra said that 42 Palestinian peaceful protesters were injured by Israeli soldiers’ gunfire including two women, fifteen children, four paramedics and two journalists during the weekly anti-Israel protests, clashes that erupted earlier on Friday afternoon on the eastern borders of the Gaza Strip between Palestinian angry protesters and the Israeli soldiers stationed there which is better known as the Great Marches of return and breaking the siege. It is noteworthy that this is the 50th Friday and the highest commission of the Great March called it as “the Friday of the Palestinian woman”.
