Storm Eberhard: Airbus A330 can’t land due to powerful gusts of wind
Turkish Airlines operates up to five flights per day to Düsseldorf Airport. Today a storm caused lots of trouble for some pilots. Within four hours I filmed 30 aborted landings. This Turkish Airlines Airbus A330 was one of them. The plane landed safely 20 minutes later when the pilots attempted another approach.
It` s quite amazing to watch these skilled pilots land their planes during impossible weather conditions with wind gusts up to 60 knots. The storm caused lots of damage in western germany.
