On 16 March 2019 heavy rain caused flooding across Yorkshire, including the Calder Valley. This video shows flood water cascading off the railway line at Walsden station onto the road. Cars are queuing to be diverted around the flooded section of the main Rochdale Road (A6033) ahead.
The video was shot at 16:20 at 53°41'52.4"N+2°06'20.2"W, just north of Walsden train station. The flooded tunnel provides step-free access to the opposite platform at the station.
