Man steals woman's handbag while she shops for jewellery in Malaysia
This is the audacious moment a brazen thief steals a handbag from the woman despite being surrounded by crowded customers.
The light-fingered shopped performed the daring grab-and-go without the handbag owner noticing it in the jewellery shop in Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia on August 18.
CCTV shows how the woman was busy trying on the jewellery while her bag was sitting on the chair behind her.
A moment later, a middle-aged man sidled up to her while covering his right arm with a black jacket.
The man glanced at the woman's handbag several times and looked around to ensure there will not be any witness.
Then he laid his jacket covered hand on the handbag, grabbed it and walked away without the woman or any other customer around aware.
Shopping mall operators said the video had been handed to police and they appealed for help tracing the alleged thief.
They said: ''Please be careful with your belongings when you're distracted in shops. The police are looking for this man, so do not allow him to do it again.''
