A passenger was left furious after their flight from Bristol to Belfast was delayed due to a flood on board caused by a torrential downpour.

The clip, filmed on October 9, shows the moment cabin crew scrambled to dry the floor and passengers after transporting them in heavy rain onto the aircraft.

Passengers had to sit in soaking wet seats on the short flight and were given bin bags to protect themselves from the rain.

The filmer explained to Newsflare: “A plane from Bristol to Belfast unloads passenger and loads new passengers in torrential rain, the result is a flood up to the cockpit and seats and passengers soaked through.

"Passengers are given rubbish bags to shed the rain and napkins are used to stem the flow into the cockpit!”
