Office workers relax on the beach during their Christmas party - by playing with a giant volleyball.

Staff from the shopping mall descended onto the sand before splitting into two teams on December 8 in General Santos City, the Philippines.

With the ball being so large, competitors had to join together to carry it close to the net and with all their strength launch it into the opposition half.

Shop assistant Nins Humen said the staff had ''the most fun of the year so far'' playing the game.

He said: "This was the highlight of our party. Everybody enjoyed the game, even like me when we were just watching it.''
