This is the horrifying moment a pickup driver crashed into group of bikerswho had pulled over in a lay-by. Footage taken by one of the riders, Pakkawat Cherdchordpet, shows the group resting before the vehicle clattered into them in Nakhon Pathom, central Thailand, on December 29. Pakkawat said that the team were gathering there ahead of a ride to visit a Buddhist temple in a neighbouring province. He said: "We were about to start the journey early in the morning, but the pickup truck hit us and we had to cancel. It looks like the road beat us this time. Luckily, no one was seriously hurt." The driver of the pickup truck was unhurt in the crash. Police arrived and arrested him and he allegedly told them that he fell asleep at the wheel, causing him to drift across into the group of parked riders. Police said the matter was settled privately between the driver and the group of riders after they agreed to pay for the damage to their motorbikes.
