One of the two zero lines begins to circulate - so called by the City Council as “zero emissions, zero cost” for travelers. This Tuesday, February 18, begins the first of these services, as detailed by Mayor José Luis Martínez-Almeida. It is a free service of the Municipal Transport Company (EMT) that will cross the center of the capital in two axes: north-south and east-west. Starting at 4:00 p.m., buses start at both headwaters: Atocha and Moncloa. The other line - which connects Argüelles and Puerta de Toledo - is going to be delayed "a few weeks," according to sources from the Environment.

This line "will link two of the great transport interchanges: both the Atocha station and the Moncloa interchange", explained Almeida. The service develops a large part of its itinerary along the Gran Vía axis. It extends its route to the east following Alcalá Street, to turn on Paseo del Prado and reach Atocha. To the west it runs through Princesa, to finish in Moncloa. Both headers are two relevant nodes of the city's public transport network.
