Five new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed this morning and all the five cases are linked to Italy, Amirian Gamkrelidze, head of the National Center for Disease Control, said at a briefing on Saturday.

According to him, there are currently 30 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Georgia, of which 27 are directly or indirectly related to Italy. However, according to Gamkrelidze, tertiary transmission of the virus has been recorded in the country.
Amiran Gamkrelidze said.
“Since January 30, we have had 676 possible cases and currently, we have 30 confirmed cases. Five new cases have been confirmed today, which are linked to Italy. 2 out of 30 cases are linked to the travel history to Iran, one – to Spain, 27 – to Italy,”
