Public buses are being disinfected to stop spread of coronavirus outbreak in northern India

Himachal Road Transport Corporation will now wipe down the vehicles and bus depots with disinfectants, in response to the rapid coronavirus outbreak in India.

The incident took place at Solan in the north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh on March 18, 2020.

According to sources, the bus corporation employees will be disinfecting all buses every day inside the bus stations.

The bus drivers and operators will be performing their duty in wearing sanitized masks and gloves.

The videos show the employees spraying the buses disinfectants to remove traces of the virus.

Apart from this, spraying is being done on the bus handles, seats and other "high touch" areas.

With thousands of people travelling on these buses every day, safety protocols must be instituted to stop the spread of this deadly coronavirus outbreak.

Coronavirus has infected more than 198,000 people and killed more than 7,900 across the world.

Total cases in India have risen to 147, as per the Union health ministry.
