Residents in New Delhi rang bells and clapped to show their appreciation for emergency workers working during the COVID-19 pandemic on March 22.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had asked people of India to come out of their houses and ring bells and conch shells along with clapping to express their gratitude towards the workers and doctors who are working relentlessly during the novel virus pandemic.

The residents all over India expressed their gratitude to the health workers, nurses, doctors and all others who worked relentlessly in this hour of global catastrophe caused by COVID-19 by coming out from inside their houses and blowing conch shells, ringing bells, clapping and making sounds with their utensils.

The event came amidst one day lockdown on 22nd March 2020 around 5 PM.

The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had asked people of India to come out of their houses and ring bells and conch shells along with clapping to express their support towards the lockdown and also express their gratitude towards the workers and doctors who worked relentlessly putting their lives in danger during this hour of global emergency caused due to corona virus.

The mass event took place all over India around 5 PM on 22nd March.

The video shows the residents coming out to their balconies with bells, conch shells, utensils in hand as they clap and ring bells while producing sounds that echoes amidst the high rise buildings as a sign of expressing their gratitude.
