This is the heartwarming moment a kindhearted pedestrian prayed hand santisier on two stray dogs to help protect them against Covid-19.

Passing taxi driver Koa saw the concerned woman stop to comfort the dogs in Bangkok, central Thailand, last Friday (March 20) evening.

The passerby in black dress and white hat stroked the dogs while spraying the alcohol-based sanitiser on their fur.

She also held their paws and scrubbed them together like she was washing them.

Filmer Koa said: "The woman looked like she was afraid that the dogs could be infected by the coronavirus. I think it was very cute that she was worried about the dogs and wanted to help them.''

Scientists do not know if pets or other animals can transmit the deadly Covid-19 infection, which has infected more than 381,761 people and killed more than 16,558 as of March 24.
