As a single working mother and owner of a premier escape room, things were going well. When COVID hit, my business got shut down. I was devastated. I knew a shelter-in-place would be ordered shortly after. I thought about how I would make it through this. I wanted to do something meaningful with my newfound time, so I decided to turn a negative into a positive and am now fostering 6 kittens, a first for me. It was the best decision ever. I feel like they’re helping me more than I’m helping them! While it is work taking care of a litter, it’s tough to be sad or stressed with kittens around! It wasn’t a decision taken lightly. I’ve always considered fostering but simply wasn’t home enough to be able to dedicate the time. With so many things uncertain right now, it’s nice to be able to offer some comfort to these adorable little guys.
