A man driving through Sparta, North Carolina, found a box full of kittens that was left on a roadside in the middle of the woods.

Elliott Sancrant filmed as he explained how he managed to find the abandoned kittens.

"We were driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway in my new car and we saw a nice-looking box that was taped close, so we stopped and checked and found six kittens. People are so sick bro."

Sancrant added: "We gave the kittens to a foster home and they found homes for all of them."

This footage was filmed on May 14.
