Our baggage took nearly 2 hours to come through !! After a great flight over from Birmingham with JET2 (Jet2 were superb throughout) there were Chaotic scenes in the Baggage Reclaim area at Tenerife Airport (TFS).

Following the flight delays caused by the massive sandstorms (Calima) over the weekend the airport had an unprecedented number of aircraft arrive at the same time..... we circled the airport before landing for over 30 mins..... then there was a long delay waiting for buses to get us from the Aircraft to the terminal.... passport control was pretty good (mainly automated) then baggage reclaim was crazy. No one knew which carousal was correct for their flight and with so many simultaneous flights arriving it just turned into pandemonium. The Jet2 staff were, again, brilliant... trying to get information from the Airport staff. Finally after our bag arrived there was a long queue for a taxi to our resort. But overall... considering the problems caused by the airport closure the previous day.... we were just glad to get to our apartment and enjoy a lovely meal and a few drinks !!!

..... then to find out a hotel. the H10 Costa Adeje Palace, a short distance away is in lockdown because of the CoronaVirus.. !!
