A female liger and a male tiger gave birth to three babies for the first time in China.

In the video, filmed in a zoo at Zhongshan Park in central China's Hubei Province on April 26, one offspring of the male tiger and the female liger was heard roaring and crawling around in a paper box at the animal nursery.

The zookeepers used a milk bottle to feed the animal and cleaned its body.

According to reports, the male tiger and the female liger had three babies but two of them died. The keeper then decided to artificially feed the only survivor.

The zoo director said: "There are ligers and tigons in China but we did not have ligers giving birth to babies before."

荆州市中山公园动物园园长许亮：“目前确实比较像老虎。长大以后身上应该有一些像狮子的特征。它身上有3/4的老虎血统，脖子上的毛有点像狮子。体格比较健壮，爪子很有力。”
今年4月24号早上，狮虎兽妈妈顺利产下了三只虎狮虎兽宝宝，有两只当时就夭折了。饲养员叔叔当机立断，把剩下的一只拿出来人工饲养。
奶瓶消毒、试水温、倒奶粉、拌匀，动物管理部的李班长像照顾孩子一样用心。

喂完了奶粉还没完事，超级奶爸可是相当尽心尽责。饱饱的吃一顿，动物园的奶爸再给它做个按摩消消食。
一整套操作下来，超级奶爸李班长已经额头滴汗了。园内的两只狮虎兽“荆宝”和“楚风”是2017年7月16日在荆州市中山公园动物园出生的。这次，能繁殖出虎狮虎兽宝宝，也是机缘巧合。

记者上网查询到，狮虎兽本来就很难繁殖并成活，狮虎兽能产崽在全球来说也是十分罕见。

荆州市中山公园动物园园长许亮：“就目前了解，中国还没有出现。狮虎兽有，虎狮兽也有，但是狮虎兽生下来的虎狮虎兽还没有。”（视频由湖北台提供）
