When the country is fighting against the novel coronavirus pandemic, a massive dust storm followed by intermittent spells of rain hit the northern Indian state of Delhi, bringing down the temperature to an extent.

The incident took place in the National Capital Region on May 10.

After a sunny morning, the weather turned gloomy as dust storms along with high-speed wind and rain lashed the region.

The change in weather due to rain was seen all over the national capital.

The city saw lightning flashes and roaring thunders.

According to the Meteorological department, the change in weather conditions is a result of an active western disturbance.

As per weather predictions, there are chances of rain and thunderstorms for the next three to four days in Delhi and surrounding areas.
