Ctenoides ales, also known as the "electric disco clam," light up this coral reef in Lembeh Strait, an area of North Sulawesi in Indonesia, famed for having some of the weirdest diving on the planet.

Ed, the filmer told Newsflare: "The clams are static so if you know where they are you can go back and visit time and time again. I like to think of them as little alien spaceships, flashing out a message in some unknown code, but maybe thats just me!"

The cool footage resembling a flashing neon light was captured in February 2020.
