Fans of Swedish soccer club AIK streamed to the club's training ground in Stockholm to pay tribute to goalkeeper Ivan Turina, who died at his home on Thursday morning (May 2).

Fans lit candles and left scarves and shirts in the club's black-and-gold colours as they signed a book of condolence for the popular Croatian goalkeeper.

AIK sporting director Björn Wesström said that Turina had died in his bed despite the best efforts of his family and neighbours - among them AIK player Henok Goitom - to help him.

Wesström also said that Monday night's match against AIK's fierce rivals IFK Gothenburg would most likely go ahead as planned.

Ivan Turina was 32 years old when he passed away, and is survived by his pregnant wife and twin daughters.
