The Office of the Indonesian Doctors Association has organised hair cuts for health workers outside its office in Makassar, Sulawesi province during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Footage filmed on Sunday (May 17) shows a barber wearing personal protective equipment while cutting a health worker's hair.

Dr. Wachyudi Muchsin said: "We have been struggling for almost two months with standard clothes and the handling COVID-19. Doctors want to shave their hair and follow COVID-19 protocols. Barbers also use protective clothing."

Uniquely, the haircut is done with the Covid-19 protocol. Namely wearing hazmat clothes, face shields and masks. And keep a distance between one another.

This activity is an initiative of the doctors because they have not cut hair for two months since the Covid-19 pandemic.

Indonesian Doctors Association publicist Dr. Wachyudi Muchsin in an interview said, "We have been wrestling for almost two months with standard clothes handling Covid-19. Doctors want to shave hair with the covid-19 protocol. Barbers also use protective clothing. The message we want to convey also "We must not consider Corona to be a normal thing. It's a virus that must be wary of," said Dr. Wachyudi Muchsin. (*)
