Minnesota nurses on Wednesday (May 20) staged a protest over working conditions while maintaining social distancing.

Hundreds of nurses, medical professionals and supporters marched from United Hospital in Saint Paul to the State Capitol.

The protest, organised by the Minnesota Nurses Association, called for better equipment, training and staffing.

On Wednesday, May 20, 2020 hundreds of nurses, medical professionals, and their allies marched together from United Hospital in St. Paul to the Minnesota State Capitol. The event was arranged by Minnesota Nurses Association in an effort to address and draw attention to nurses' demands for equipment, training, staffing, and transparency to provide safety and protection for patients and healthcare workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

Participants exercised social distancing throughout the event and face masks were required.

Demands included:

• Involve Nurses and Hospital Workers in Decision Making at EVERY LEVEL
• Supply readily available PPE to provide maximum precaution to prevent the spread
of COVID
• Environmental Preparation of all areas slated to become COVID+
• Stop Retaliation and Immediate Reversal of ALL Retaliatory Measures
