Controlled explosion of two WWII bombs on Scottish beach

Locals looked on as police, the coastguard and bomb disposal teams exploded two World War II bombs that washed ashore on Montrose beach, Scotland on Wednesday morning (May 27).

Eleven-year-old Summer-Leigh she was walking by the beach with her grandad when she decided to captured the moment to show her family.

She told Newsflare: "It took around 30 minutes and was really loud!"

A small crowd of onlookers can be heard cheering after the explosion.

Grandmother, Gill Stranock posted the clip to Twitter with the caption: “Two WW2 bombs safely exploded by bomb disposal today on Montrose Beach at Kinnaber. Brilliantly captured by my 11-year-old.”
