Chinese firefighters rescue infant trapped in rubbish chute in residential building
Firefighters in northern China rescued an infant trapped in a rubbish chute in a residential building.
In the video, shot in the city of Liaoyang in Liaoning Province on June 1, a fireman climbed into the rubbish chute to take out the infant who was trapped in between fourth and fifth floor.
According to reports, some residents heard the infant's crying inside the rubbish chute and called the firefighters.
Two fire engines and eight firemen arrived on site and found blood on the fifth-floor corridor. They then guessed that the infant was stuck in between the fourth and fifth floor's chute.
Luckily the infant was in a plastic bag which was hanging on waste glass.
After 20 minutes, the infant was rescued successfully. They were not in life-threatening condition.
Police are investigating the case. The video was provided by local media with permission.
