Two teenage friends assemble hyper-realistic mini-trucks out of waste in northern India's Himachal Pradesh
Amid the country-wide lockdown, while many people eased off at home, two children managed to erect a mini version of trucks from scratch in northern India’s Himachal Pradesh.
The boys, identified as Sumit and Sahil, built this project in a day, from nothing but scrap cardboard and unwanted materials. They are residents of Bilaspur district's Manwa village.
Displaying their product, the two friends dragged their mini-trucks on the terrace of a building.
Apart from cardboard, tape has also been used with mini-rear view mirrors and flags to make the trucks appear more lifelike.
Neighbors and passersby were quite impressed by this enterprise, and some even bought the homemade trucks, passing on encouragement for more projects of such kind.
Visuals, shot on June 11, show the kids taking their trucks for a ‘ride’, as the hyper-realistic trucks roll on their cardboard-made wheels.
When asked, Sahil said they took inspiration from Sanjay- his father- who is a truck driver.
Although the builders’ parents want the kids to do well in school, they realize their children have a more creative flair.
