A woman in Cao Bang Province, Vietnam came across an orchid mantis but she thought it was a moving flower.

The orchid mantis has the same distinctive colour and shape of its flower namesake.

The orchid mantis is known as a flower mantis due to its resemblance to a flower and the way it behaves. Orchid mantises are favoured by insect breeders, but they are rare and expensive.

The woman who found the orchid mantis her back garden decided to release it back into the wild.
