UK Border Force have escorted and rescued multiple immigrants who have made the journey across the English Channel on August 11.

Footage shows a large vessel carrying a number of migrants with lifejackets and protective masks on.

Subsequent footage shows the dinghy that was used by the migrants being brought to Dover Harbour.

The migrants will be processed by immigration authorities where their status as either refugees or asylum seekers will be determined.

Border force officers brought ashore dozens of asylum seekers who had sailed out into the English Channel in a variety of overloaded boats.

Throughout the day 11/08/20 border force were deployed to save dozens of people who had sailed out of French waters and into English controlled waters. International law requires the English border force to bring the migrants ashore and if they would like to claim asylum their request must be processed.

Foreign Secretary Priti Patel’s warning that the English Channel route would be closed has done little to deter the asylum seekers who this morning sailed out of French territorial waters.

The asylum seekers on arrival into Dover port are given an initial screening where their claimed identity is recorded, they are medically checked and then they are transported to safe accommodation where the beginning of their asylum application will be begin.
