9/11 stair climb tribute to Fallen firefighters

Buy video

On September 13, 2020 first responders gathered at Clipper Stadium in Lancaster, PA for a memorial stair climb.

After a brief opening ceremony and warm up all personnel climbed up and down the rows of the stadium 5 times to symbolize the 110 floors firefighters climbed on 9/11.

While climbing everyone stopped when the time struck 9:59 and 10:28 and PASS alarms were sounded to mark the falling of the twin towers. Most personal we’re just finishing the climb when the mark of the second tower falling was honored.

From the stair climb web site
The 9/11 Lancaster Memorial Stair Climb is a way for all firefighters to honor and remember the FDNY firefighters who selflessly gave their lives so that others might live on 9-11-2001. Each participant pays tribute to an FDNY firefighter by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Your individual tribute not only remembers the sacrifice of an FDNY brother, but symbolically completes their heroic journey to save others. Through firefighter and community participation, we can ensure that each of the 343 firefighters is honored and that the world knows that we will never forget.
