Around 14:30 Ashland borough was dispatched for a first alarm working fire. Shortly after units started to respond extra alarms were struck due to smoke showing from a distance. Units arrived and multiple aerial trucks were used to access the roof on the front of the row homes. Units battled the blaze from all sides and were able to stop the blaze from spreading further down the row. Fire is reported to have started in the rear of one of the structure and spread from there. Radio traffic during the incident stated one firefighter was taken to the hospital for treatment.
