The streets of Galway, Ireland, were recorded on October 21, the day before the country will go into a near-total state of lockdown to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

From midnight on October 22, Ireland will enter a Level 5 lockdown, the most severe lockdown, and all non-essential retail shops will close for the following six weeks.

Pubs and restaurants can only serve a max of 15 people outdoors now, and will only be able to do take away orders. Schools and third-level colleges will remain open.
