Thousands of crabs climb on road during breeding migration in eastern China
Thousands of crabs were spotted climbing on a road during their breeding migration in eastern China.
The video, filmed in the city of Changshu in Jiangsu Province on October 17, shows a large number of sesarmidae tangi crabs crawling on a pavement near the Yangtze River and several local villagers picking them up to put in buckets.
According to Dr Zhang Jinsuo from the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, it was a common phenomenon called breeding migration.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
